Dear DL students,
Happy New Year 2019 and welcome back to your studies in this new trimester.
We would like to bring to your attention the following important issues as we go into the new trimester:
1. Online Registration
You are hereby informed that continuing students On-line Registration for January - April 2019 trimester is on and the deadline for the registration and payment of fees will as usual be the end of the 3rd week of the trimester, in this case Saturday, 19th January 2019. Those who need assistance in registration can call 0706-845374 or email the DL officers through the following email addresses for assistance:
Registration period being a high traffic week, we'll encourage you to write emails in case you cannot get through to the Distance Learning Office through phone. We'll endeavor to respond to the emails as soon as possible. You may not always be able to reach the DL officers through Mobile Phone due to high traffic of new students so please bear with us and try make the best use of email.
Find attached the "NEW ONLINE REGISTRATION USER GUIDE" that will help you register online without a hustle. You are strongly advised to carefully read and strictly follow instructions in the guide to avoid unnecessary inconveniences.
All MBA CORPORATE MANAGEMENT and MSC COMMERCE students should contact email@example.com for advise on the correct units to pick for the trimester.
2. Learning Material Upload
DL officers shall be uploading your respective units into your e-learning accounts once you have registered and paid at least 50% of fees within the registration period as required. Lecturers, whose contacts you'll get within each unit's page shall upload your material on a weekly basis, similar to how they deliver content for your colleagues attending residential classes. DL officers shall be on stand by to ensure that you are supported accordingly and therefore do not hesitate to engage us in case you meet any challenges.
3. Fee Payment & Student Finance issues
DL officers shall still be uploading your respective units into your e-learning accounts once you have registered and paid at least 50% of fees within the registration period as required. Registration and fee payment done after the stipulated deadline of 19th January 2019 shall not be regarded and students shall be required to proceed on academic leave till May 2019. The procedure for proceeding on academic leave is filling the academic leave form downloadable from the e-learning portal main menu.
For those who have special fees payment requests, you are advised to physically visit the Student Finance Officers in Main Campus or write to them through firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org before the deadline to avoid unnecessary inconveniences.
